Elidian does not change that, and it does not try to. What it changes is the amount of control you hold before that moment arrives. You define who your agents may consider, you approve what enters the registry they rely on, and you can reconstruct every decision afterwards. The judgement about who is trustworthy remains a human one.
What the AI colleagues do, and where you decide
AI colleagues run the operational work: they verify listings against submitted and third-party credential sources, match incoming queries to registered capabilities, scan continuously for stale or inconsistent listings, and maintain reputation records from logged interaction outcomes. None of that displaces you. The honest limit
An escalation model is only as good as its threshold, and we will not claim it catches every case a careful person would. What we can state is the design: clear verifications are certified automatically; anything ambiguous or high-stakes routes to a human before it is trusted. That boundary is one of the things we are still testing with early design partners, alongside an open question we do not paper over — whether the value of this control is worth paying for against extending the tooling you already run.
Documented impersonation and business-email-compromise losses of roughly USD 2.9bn in 2023 and USD 2.8bn in 2024 show what an unverified counterparty already costs in human commerce; the same gate now sits in front of every agent relationship.
